40/365 & 41/365

yep, skipped day 39: hand-tinted...
easy to skip that one.

day 40:
A Little Heart
I have seen hearts made with the right light, a ring and a book, usually the Bible.
so i figured i'd give it a try today.

i grabbed my Bible and opened it...
no, not to any specific page, just random.
placed my wedding band on it and held my headlamp.
it was awkward, i tried to hold the light in the right way and take the photo.
this is what i got:

day 41:
It's Still Winter

yes it is.
See this boardwalk without the snow: HERE

snowmobile tracks leaving the boardwalk and heading out on the lake.

um...
ok.

one day it will not still be winter.
but for now it is.

38/365

day 38:
Old School

hmmm.
old school.
i thought about actually finding an old school building.
but then didn't.
i came up with a better idea.
or, an idea i liked better.

i have cross country skis.
i have old school cross country skis.
yes, yes i do.

so they became my photo project.

day 38 was also the opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
these were the Olympic themed skis of my 5th year of life.
wow.

34/365 & 37/365

i know, i've missed quite a few days so far in February.
the last entry had day 31.
32- self-portrait: In the Dark.  sorry, planned on doing it...didn't.
33- a silhouette.  no reason. just didn't do it.  obviously i did other things that occupied my time.

day 34:
macro photo
Soft
my fuzzy pom-pom on the top of my toque.

day 35: heartwarming.
day 36: from the top.

day 37:
Shadows.
this was a thursday.
Feb 6th.
my girl and i were about to head out to the Ladies Bible Study i attend each week.
i checked my list of prompts to see that day's prompt.
i looked up from said list and saw the sun shining brightly through our dining room window.
my girl was my model.
we had fun capturing her shadow on the basement door.
i debated cutting her out of the shots and just taking the photos of her shadows, but i thought it'd be fun to see a little of her.

we had fun with the last one.
not easy to pose a 4 year old who isn't quite sure what i'm seeing through my lens.
she listened quite well, and loved seeing the outcome of her grabbing her shadow.

we went to Bible Study.
when we came out of the church a couple hours later it was overcast.
and stayed that way the rest of the day.
so glad i took the opportunity provided in the morning.
so much nicer than artificial light.

29/365, 31/365

day 29:
Lively
the beast.
he absolutely loves winter.
he runs, bounds, leaps, rolls, slides.
he's definitely lively when he gets out in the snow.

I didn't do day 30: focusing.

day 31:
A Horse.
i went for a little walk over to visit my horse friends.
i was wanting them to come see me at the fence but there was a lot of snow, and they had their paths.

late: 27/365, 28/265

ok, these are over a week past due.

 day 26:
it was the phone photo.
i took a photo on my husband's phone but never loaded it to the computer.
it wasn't the theme...the theme was Vivid.

day 27:
Secure
my daughter came home with some artwork for me.
my beautiful, creative, girl comes home with art for me every day.
this one though...
i hung it up.
she was so excited that i hung it.

below is the 'flowers on the button' that she hoped i would love.
before i read the note i looked at that button.
"i love the flowers on this one." i hugged her as i said it and then read the note.
i teared up when i read that she hoped i would love it.
thank you my little one,
i loved the whole thing.

day 28:
Return
the return of her bestest friend.
her future husband.
her favorite playmate (outside of her brother).

i snapped this photo as the kids returned to the warmth of the house.
